As you may know, there are now five of us based at Birger Jarlsgatan 2 in Stockholm: Astrid, Eva, Agneta, Kaying and Tanis. Since some of our clients know only one or two of us well, we’d like to take this opportunity to introduce you to the whole team and tell you a bit about the wide range of projects we’ve been working on during the past few months.
From vision to strategy
On top of her various sustainability reporting projects, Astrid has been leveraging Purple Ivy’s materiality process to develop client sustainability strategies, which has involved several deep-dive interviews on aspects of value creation with clients’ board members, investors, customers and other stakeholders. She has also conducted strategy workshops to define next-level sustainability goals, as well as coaching sustainability managers on the development of their strategies and how to integrate sustainability further into their businesses.
Continuous improvement and knowledge sharing
Eva’s been wearing many hats since January. She’s been a stand-in Lean Innovation Manager and supported clients in taking their next step towards a more visionary strategy and the culture they want to foster. She’s also been heavily involved in training, educating 300+ employees of 15+ companies in the newly released ISO standards (ISO 9001 and ISO 14001). Since Eva loves working with people one-on-one, she’s also spent some time coaching clients’ project managers to help them enhance their management systems. Eva was also one of the main speakers at SIS Perspektivdag in April.
Strategic and systematic thinking
Agneta spent the first months of the year acting as Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) Advisor at one of ABB’s divisions, supporting Local Safety Advisors and unit management teams both strategically and operationally. She has also coached an Opex manager on quality, OH&S and environmental issues, which involved introducing staff to a new system for legislative compliance control for environment work, and leading the process of preparing the management system to meet new ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards. Aside from her work with ABB, she has also supported a medical clinic in its preparation for accreditation.
Sharp focus on future drivers and trends
If you attended the Purple Ivy after-work event in February, you had the pleasure of hearing Kaying speak with our British colleague Martin Wright on the subject of sustainability in China and India. (If you missed it, there’s a recording available.) In recent months Kaying has also helped clients identify and prioritize key future business challenges and opportunities. She’s also developed a series of internal workshops to facilitate the roll out of a client sustainability strategy and created a board game to help participants understand why sustainability is core to their business strategy.
Storytelling & thought leadership
Tanis has worked intensively with a handful of clients since the beginning of the year to develop content strategies that capitalize on each client’s unique strengths and identify how they can join the wider conversation on those topics in a meaningful way. Based on that work, she’s helped her clients develop communication plans and start creating more engaging content that builds trust, strengthens relationships with customers and other stakeholders, and bolsters company image.
See you at Almedalen?
If you are going to Almedalen, we look forward to seeing you! Eva, Astrid and Agneta will be there July 4-6. If we don’t see you there, we look forward to catching up with you over lunch in August or September, or why not swing by our office at Birger Jarlsgatan 2 for a fika? We’d love to see you and hear what you’re up to!
Best wishes for a warm and relaxing summer,
Agneta, Astrid, Eva, Kaying and Tanis
